Acting President, Vorapat Chutima Targets Young Thai Professionals to Rebuild Club Membership for Chiang Mai

Addressing Skalleagues at the final dinner, Khun Karb outlined his plans for his next six months of office in which he said “Through my connections, I hope to build up SKÅL Chiang Mai’s membership from 17 to between 30-40 with my key focus on 30% of new membership being young Thai professionals.”
He also highlighted his plans for guest speakers, joint events with the other SKÅL clubs in Thailand and in SEA, as well as other professional organizations such as TEDx Chiangmai, Chiangmai RoundTable Discussion and Foreign Chambers of Commerce and Consulates.
Wolfgang Grimm, President, SKÅL Thailand welcomed Mr. Chutima saying, “We are honoured and delighted to have Khun Karb leading our club in Chiang Mai and know that his Thai connections will add a new dimension to our membership drive to rebuild this important club.”
Khun Karb has been involved in SKÅL Chiang Mai Excom since 2012 as Thai language consultant. He is also Managing Director of the pioneering Old Chiangmai Cultural Center since 2016.
